Embark aboard the Queen Beetle for an exclusive cruise to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Munakata-Okinoshima, the sacred “Island Where Gods Dwell.”

The Queen Beetle was designed by Eiji Mitooka, Japan’s foremost railway design authority and the visionary behind JR Kyushu’s prestigious luxury sleeper train “Seven Stars.” This remarkable vessel showcases a sophisticated red, black, and white colour scheme with a distinctly futuristic aesthetic rarely seen elsewhere—creating a silhouette that passengers take genuine pride in experiencing.

From aboard this exceptional craft, you will have the privilege of paying distant respects to Okitsu-miya on the sacred island of Munakata-Okinoshima, where access is restricted to Shinto priests alone. (Please note: landing on Okinoshima is not permitted.)

For the distant Munakata Taisha Hetsu-miya, we provide private coach transfers departing from either Fukuoka Airport or Hakata Station. The remaining five programmes utilise efficient public transport connections, allowing you to experience the city as locals do.
