In Naha, the former royal capital of the Ryukyu Kingdom, an internationally rich royal culture flourished centred around Shuri Castle. Staying 5 consecutive nights at a hotel on Kokusai-dori, the main thoroughfare, we guide you through nostalgic town walks encountering the culture and vestiges of Ryukyu royal splendour. During your stay, spend a full day exploring the north, cross to the Kerama Islands to enjoy the beautiful seas, and savour the attractions of Okinawa Main Island. Thoroughly Exploring Okinawa Main Island: Visiting North and South

Thoroughly explore northern and southern Okinawa Main Island by coach. In the north, visit Churaumi Aquarium—popular for its spectacular displays featuring whale sharks swimming in massive tanks—Okinawa Folk Village recreating 17th-19th century settlements, and World Heritage Site Nakijin Castle. In the south, visit Himeyuri Tower and Himeyuri Peace Museum.

Haneda Airport Naha Airport

■ Flight from Haneda Airport to Naha.

■ Upon arrival, visit Himeyuri Tower and Himeyuri Peace Memorial Museum in southern Okinawa Main Island.

■ Subsequently, transfer by coach to hotel. Accommodation is at “Hotel Collective,” located in the heart of Naha on Kokusai-dori.

Naha (Nostalgic Okinawa ① Tsuboya Yachimun-dori) (Nostalgic Okinawa ② Shuri Castle Town and World Heritage Site Tamaudun) (Enjoying Okinawan Traditional Performing Arts)

■ Morning orientation combined with exploration of Kokusai-dori where the hotel is located.

■ Subsequently, nostalgic Naha town walks. Visit “Tsuboya Yachimun-dori,” where nostalgic scenery remains with red-tiled roofs and continuing stone walls.

■ Afternoon visit to World Heritage sites and historic quarters remaining in the royal capital of Shuri. After visiting Tamaudun, where Ryukyu royal tombs remain, proceed to Shuri Castle under restoration. Walk whilst observing the steady progress of reconstruction work. Descending to the Shuri castle town area, sections of the stone-paved road that once led to the outer port of Naha remain.

■ Evening enjoyment of eisa performances.

■ Full day to northern Okinawa Main Island by private coach, heading to Ocean Expo Park.

■ First, visit Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. Enjoy dynamic displays as if underwater in Okinawan seas. Subsequently, visit Okinawa Folk Village, where 17th-19th century Okinawan villages are recreated, offering insights into life of that era.

■ Afternoon visit to Nakijin Castle, registered as World Heritage alongside Shuri Castle, followed by a stop in Nago before returning to Naha.

■ Full-day ferry excursion to the Kerama Islands. Enjoy the beautiful seas whilst travelling to Zamami Island. After lunch and island exploration, return to Naha by ferry.
