Experience Classical Tokyo where Edo’s Splendour Lives on
1 Immersive Edo Heritage Comes Alive While Strolling Around Asakusa
Step into Tokyo’s cherished soul at Asakusa, where the magnificent Sensō-ji Temple has stood since 645. Here, the vermillion gates of Kaminarimon and centuries-old shopping street of Nakamise present an enchanting tableau of traditional Japan. As incense wafts through the air and locals worship in time-honoured fashion, this is Tokyo’s most visited destination where tradition harmoniously blends with the city’s vibrant energy.
Discover Asakusa from a rickshaw, a truly special way to explore. Imagine gliding through the enchanting streets of Asakusa in a traditional rickshaw, just as the nobles of Edo-period Japan once did. This centuries-old mode of transport offers a truly magical way to experience Tokyo’s most cherished historic district.Whether you’re seeking that perfect Instagram moment or yearning to experience Tokyo as the aristocrats once did, this intimate rickshaw journey promises memories to treasure forever. As the wheels turn smoothly beneath you, surrender to the romance of old Japan in a way that simply isn’t possible on foot.

★ Optional Special Tours:Upon request, arrangements for Asakusa geisha shows, which have a different background from Kyoto’s maiko, are also possible. Enjoy the highly skilled dances of the geiko who have been nurtured in Asakusa and communication with the geiko.
2 Step Aboard a Traditional Yakatabune
Sail into an evening of enchantment aboard a yakatabune, a traditional Japanese pleasure boat whose history stretches back to the Heian period (794-1185). Once the private reserve of nobility who used these elegant vessels for their leisure pursuits, yakatabune truly flourished during the Edo period when improved waterways saw feudal lords and wealthy merchants hosting elaborate flower-viewing parties, moon-gazing ceremonies, and fireworks displays.
Today, we invite you to continue this centuries-old tradition as you drift along the historic Sumida River, the same waters that bustled with activity during the Edo period. As you dine on exquisite cuisine in your floating restaurant, Tokyo’s magnificent nightscape unfolds before your eyes. Marvel at the illuminated vistas of Odaiba and other Tokyo landmarks, whilst in spring, experience the magical sight of illuminated cherry blossoms from your unique vantage point on the water.

Shibuya-Harajuku Area: Where Pop Culture and Sacred Atmosphere Coexist
In Harajuku, the birthplace of Japan’s kawaii culture, and the Omotesando area lined with fashionable boutiques, restaurants, and luxury shops, free time is provided for enjoying leisurely strolls through the streets. Adjacent to this fashionable and unique district lies Meiji Shrine, which boasts vast grounds that can truly be called an oasis of urban greenery. This shrine was established in 1920 to enshrine Emperor Meiji and is one of the most popular shrines nationwide. As you proceed along the approach path, you’ll find a unique spot where donated wine barrels are lined up. This is because Emperor Meiji favored wine, and while sake barrels are commonly donated at shrines throughout Japan, wine barrels are extremely rare. The shrine also features Japan’s largest wooden torii gate, making it a shrine full of highlights. With good timing, you might even encounter couples holding traditional Japanese wedding ceremonies.

A Day Trip from Tokyo to Admire Japan’s Symbol, Mount Fuji
The Mount Fuji tour is conducted as a day trip from Tokyo. We will guide you to “Oshino Hakkai,” which offers excellent access from Tokyo and is one of the premier scenic spots for viewing Mount Fuji, as well as “Lake Yamanaka,” one of the Fuji Five Lakes. These are locations where you can enjoy beautiful scenery regardless of the season you visit.

Extending Beyond Kyoto and Osaka to Hiroshima: An Overnight Stay for a Leisurely Tour of Hiroshima
Whilst tours featuring such Golden Routes often guide visitors to Hiroshima on a day trip by Shinkansen from Kyoto or Osaka, our itinerary includes an overnight stay in Hiroshima, allowing us to guide you leisurely through both Miyajima and the Peace Memorial Park. Beyond visiting Itsukushima Shrine, you’ll be able to explore other spots on Miyajima Island, including the shopping streets and traditional townhouse districts. We shall also guide you to the Atomic Bomb Dome, which remains as a testament to Hiroshima’s wartime devastation during the Second World War, and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, which houses exhibits of atomic bomb materials and personal belongings of victims.

In Kyoto, Enjoy Your Time as You Wish, Including a Full Day of Free Activities
We will visit famous locations including Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Arashiyama, which are particularly popular in Kyoto. We have also prepared meals where you can enjoy maiko performances unique to Kyoto. Additionally, there is a full day of free activities, so you can visit other famous sites and temples, venture outside Kyoto city to see parts of Kyoto untouched by overtourism, or enjoy Kyoto however you wish.

Visit to “Todai-ji Temple,” One of the World’s Largest Wooden Structures: A Stop in Nara
In the latter part of the journey, before heading to Osaka, our final destination, we shall stop in Nara. At Nara Park, we shall visit Todai-ji Temple, one of the world’s largest wooden structures. You will also see the Rushana Buddha (Nara’s Great Buddha), which stands 14.98 metres tall. The deer of Nara, which have been carefully protected since ancient times as messengers of the gods of Kasuga Taisha Shrine, will also show their adorable figures within the park (designated as a National Natural Monument).

Visiting Osaka Castle, the Symbol of Osaka
The final destination of our journey is Osaka. In Osaka, we shall guide you to Osaka Castle and Dotonbori. Osaka Castle, built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and subsequently protected by citizens through its fall, reconstruction, destruction by fire, restoration, and maintenance, stands as the symbol of Osaka. We shall take you inside the castle for a tour of the main keep. In the afternoon, please enjoy a leisurely lunch and shopping in Dotonbori, Osaka’s representative shopping district, as well as photographing the unique spot where extraordinarily vibrant signboards line the streets.
