Sumo tickets are extremely popular and hard to secure. This one-day tour includes an Chair S-seat ticket to a sumo tournament held at each location (January: Tokyo, March: Osaka, May: Tokyo, July: Nagoya, September: Tokyo, November: Fukuoka), an English-speaking guide, and a meal of chanko nabe(hot pot), the sumo wrestlers’ traditional cuisine. An English-speaking guide will pick you up in your hotel lobby and escort you to the venue (please inquire for tours in languages other than English).
Recommended Program
Watch Grand Sumo Tournament (Chair Seat S ticket is included)
Watching sumo wrestling is one of the top activities to do when visiting Japan. However, obtaining tickets for Grand Sumo is extremely difficult, and securing them individually is a formidable task. We have arranged an excursion that includes Chair S tickets for Grand Sumo, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in sumo culture. Grand Sumo tournaments are held in January (Hatsu Basho, Tokyo), March (Haru Basho, Osaka), May (Natsu Basho, Tokyo), July (Nagoya Basho, Aichi), September (Aki Basho, Tokyo), and November (Kyushu Basho, Fukuoka). If your visit coincides with a tournament, be sure to enjoy this quintessential Japanese cultural experience.
* Please note that the availability of tickets is confirmed two months before each tournament begins. Reservations made prior to this will be confirmed once tickets have been successfully purchased.

Savour “chanko nabe,” the hotpot that supports the physique of sumo wrestlers
Chanko nabe is a traditional hotpot dish that has been an integral part of sumo wrestling culture for centuries. Originally developed to help sumo wrestlers gain weight and build strength, this nutritious and hearty meal is typically prepared with a variety of ingredients such as meat, fish, and vegetables, simmered together in a rich broth. The dish not only provides the necessary calories and nutrients but also fosters a sense of camaraderie among wrestlers as they share the meal.
On our tour, you will have the opportunity to savour chanko nabe, experiencing firsthand the flavours that sustain and support the physique of sumo wrestlers.
